Many NPs and PAs in clinical practice play the dual role of parent. Between managing your household and your clinical practice, some important “back-to-school” items may have been overlooked before the first day of school.
Fortunately, Pharmacy Times has provided a great, quick checklist to help us get the kiddos off to a safe and healthy school year, even if some of these items don’t actually get done until mid-September (count me guilty on this one) [1].
Update vaccinations (ideally) before school year starts, although the updated COVID and influenza vaccines may not be available quite yet [2]. Either way, do not forget about these important preventative health measures once the school year gets going.
