Job Satisfaction among Physician Associates

Medscape has released a recent report on PA job fulfillment.

The study’s highlights show that:

91% of full-time PAs report they have a “good” or “very good” working relationship with physicians

87% of PAs say they are glad they chose this profession

68% of PAs say the COVID pandemic did not affect how satisfied they are at work

27% of PAs report considering a change in medical specialty

The most common PA work environments are:
   – Medical group – 52%
   – Hospital system – 40%
   – Self-employed or practice owner – 5%
   – Independent contractor – 3%
