To increase our office’s visibility and engage with the local community, I recently organized a sponsorship and marketing event for our dermatology office. A local summer pool and athletic club hosted its annual ‘end-of-school-year’ party for its kiddo members, and my healthcare organization was agreeable to sponsor the event.
In my preparations, I came across the 5 P’s of healthcare marketing:
Product – are our office’s medical services among the best in the area?
Price – how are we showcasing the value of our office’s services?
Place – how accessible are appointments, and how convenient is the office’s location?
Promotion – how does the office reach and engage patients through advertising, social media outlets, and content marketing?
People – how is our office forming relationships and building trust with current and potential patients?
As I enjoy contributing to office marketing and community outreach, I like thinking about these “P’s” and determining where our office measures up — and what areas we can improve.
As a fellow healthcare professional, I’d like to know if you also market your clinical practice. If so, have you found anything particularly effective in the context of the 5 P’s of healthcare marketing?
